What coaching actually means
Coaching isn't about telling people what to do. It's a structured conversation that helps someone think through their own situation more clearly. The coach asks questions, the client discovers their own answers. That shift—from advice-giver to thinking partner—is what separates coaching from consulting or mentoring. We started princegeorgebbq in 2017 because too many people were calling themselves coaches without understanding that distinction. This platform exists to teach the real fundamentals: how to listen without inserting your own agenda, how to ask questions that actually move someone forward, and how to structure a session so it produces clarity instead of confusion.
How we got here
Four stages that shaped our understanding of what coaches actually need to learn
Research
We interviewed 87 working coaches across Ireland to understand what they wished they'd learned earlier.
Prototype
Built the first version with 12 masterclasses. Tested with 34 participants who gave us brutally honest feedback.
Launch
Opened to the public with 28 masterclasses covering core coaching techniques and session management.
Expand
Added advanced modules on ethics, boundaries, and working with specific client challenges.
Teaching real skills
Most coaching courses teach theory. We teach what happens in the room. How do you respond when a client goes silent for 40 seconds? What do you say when someone asks you directly for advice? How do you keep a session on track without being controlling?
These are the moments that matter, and they can't be learned from a textbook. Our masterclasses show you how experienced coaches handle these situations in real time. You see the techniques, hear the reasoning, and get a framework you can actually use.

Three principles behind everything we create
These aren't values we aspire to—they're constraints we design within
Show the work
Every masterclass includes unedited session footage. You see what the coach does, when they do it, and why. No polished performances—just real coaching with all the messy human moments intact.
Name the mistakes
We don't pretend expert coaches are perfect. Each session includes a breakdown of what could have been handled better. Learning what not to do is just as important as learning what works.
Keep it local
All our instructors work in Ireland. They understand the cultural context, the way people communicate here, and the specific challenges Irish coaches face when building a practice.
